Links to Recent Ethical Controversy in American Media

If anyone is interested in the most recent American scandal over (self-) censorship and war, here are some links to what is being called the “death of a marine.” AP photographer Julie Jacobsen captured the final moments of US Marine Lance Cpl. Joshua Bernard’s life during a gun battle with Taliban in Afghanistan. The photo caused quite a stir in the US. Some feel the family’s right to privacy should have been protected. Others, like the AP, believe it is important for the world to know how our young men and women die in the endless cycles of violence humans create.
